Russian folk dance group on tour

A RUSSIAN folk dance troupe from Oxford's twin town Perm will appear at the Pegasus Theatre in Oxford on Wednesday. Yarmarka consists of an orchestra playing traditional Russian instruments, dancers and vocalists, all appearing in traditional costume for an evening of Russian culture. Do Government and local authorities believe their own propaganda? I refer, of course, to the issue of speeding and speed cameras. The Government's claim that 70% of accidents are caused by speeding is not even backed up by their own Road Traffic Department's figures. The trip to Leamington Spa takes place on Tuesday, May 18 when the coach leaves the village hall at 10am. The programme for the afternoon was an Easter Bonnet competition, Mrs Harris and Mrs Ross did the judging and they had a very difficult task.
