100 Years Ago July 11, 1908 Never in the history of Pershore has there been a parallel in the number of summer visitors as during the gloriously sunshiney month of June, 1908. We are glad to see that Cook's, the great tourist agents, are turning their attention to the Vale of Evesham, for some of the biggest excursions this season have been arranged by them. A good deal of catering has been done in the Royal Three Tuns Hotel, the excellent reputation of Mr and Mrs Bird in this direction, and the superior accommodation of the hotel having drawn huge parties. This hotel has the best landing stage in the town and the connecting orchard is an admirable place for supplying the needs of a large number.  more...
